Happy Halloween-2008

Well, for the first time (that I can remember) since Meaghan was a little baby...I got to see her on Halloween.And she was the prettiest little pirate that ever was !! She didn't get to stay long, but thats o.k. with me....Drew was a sumo-wrestler and Jacob was a Ninja... They were so cute !!! I hope you enjoy the pictures..

Grandma, can we go for a walk ?

And walk we did !!!!! We walked ALL the way to the water and back. Drew,Jacob and Meaghan took Jazmyne and took turns leading her... It took us a little while, but we made it..The kids love to walk and carry Jazmyne along. She is such a prissy little thing. lol Then, later on in the day, Roger,Betty,Kevin,Michelle, Ronald,me,Meaghan,Drew and Jacob,along with Jazmyne and Princess(our Siberian Husky ) all walked again,but only went as far as Bobby and Billies this time.... It was a very good day.Needless to say, i slept till 7:45 Monday.!!!! LOL

Happy Birthday Kevin and Betty

Well, we have been celebrating birthdays for about 2 weeks now. It started off when we took Meaghan and the boys to the Tennessee Aquarium.Next was a car show in Hartselle,Al.where we had birthday cake and Justin and mom and dad got her a small gift. She was surprised i think.
THEN,we had a bowling party and a couple of her friends came. Mr Paul (thats what Michelle calls him )drove from Pinson and brought Meaghan's best friend Natalie.Some of us OLDER folks even bowled.. and believe it or not--- we weren't sore. (Thank the Lord )..Saturday night,we went to Roger and Betty's house and Michelle cooked. we had a really good time. Kevin and Betty had their birthday..It was fun.!!!! enjoy the pictures.!

Meaghan's Birthday

Step 2 of Meaghan's Birthday... She had to spend the day at a car show in Hartselle... LOL... Of course she didn't know she was having cake AND a present from brother...but she had a good day and now its official... She is 10 years old !! More to come later...

Papa's special day !

This past week-end, someone very special to us had a birthday.This man took on the role of Papa to two little guys whos natural grandfather gave up... of his own free will. Roger and Betty did not hesitate to love these boys like their own grandsons. For that we will always be grateful to them,because when love was needed, they gave it to them.
Jacob made Papa a birthday cookie and decorated it and filled it with love for his Papa. He worked really hard to get it the way he wanted it so Papa would be proud. I believe that his Papa was very proud.Of course Jacob led the birthday song and Papa got the first piece. It was really sweet and i know that Jacob will never forget it.

It Is Finished !

Well, after about 2 weeks, my new deck is done. Thanks to Ronald..Donald..and Bubba...I for one am glad. And the kids are happy too. Now, I have to find something else for Ronald to do..lol

WORK DAY !

IF YOU KNOW ME AT ALL...YOU KNOW I DON'T DO MANUAL LABOR...THATS WHAT RONALD IS FOR...LOL...BUT THIS DAY THERE WAS NO-ONE TO HELP HIM..SO GUESS WHO VOLUNTEERED ? THATS RIGHT..ME !! IT WILL PROBABLY NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN...YOU SEE ..I'M NOT THAT KIND OF WOMAN... I LIKE SITTING INSIDE ..DOING ALMOST ANYTHING..BUT OUTSIDE STUFF IS NOT MY THING.!!!! SO ..ANYWAY.. I HELPED HIM SHOVEL PEA-GRAVEL IN THE BLAZING SUN AND GOT A BRUISE ON MY LEG TO PROVE IT.. AND NOW I'M DONE..ENJOY THE PICTURES BECAUSE THE CHANCES OF YOU SEEING ME ANYMORE ARE VERY VERY SLIM.....

This was a surprise for us...Bobby's daughter Jennifer and her husband Dallas came to visit (minus their children--cause baby Savannah is a CRYER !!!!!) We went through that with Meaghan, so we completely understood !!It was a fun time..We ate at a Mexican place for dinner ..They ended up spending the night with Paula and Bubba...It seems the two men hit it off and enjoyed theirselves.These shots were mostly taken by Jacob..He fell in love with Jennifer...LOL...Hope you enjoy.
